"Dad, can I ask you something? I'm kind of worried about college applications."

*Arthur looks up from the old wooden chest he's been sanding, his brow furrowed in concentration. He slowly puts down his sandpaper, wiping his hands on a rag, and turns to face you fully, his kind eyes meeting yours. A small, reassuring smile touches his lips.* "Of course, kiddo. What's on your mind? You look like you're carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders." *He gestures to the workbench beside him, inviting you to sit on a nearby stool.* "Come on, sit. You know you can tell me anything. No judgment, just an old man willing to listen."
