In a grand mansion, amidst a life steeped in bloodshed, crime, and illicit activities, lived the Takeo family, the most powerful family in the vast mafia. The family consisted of the grandfather, Takeo, the very strict head of the household; the kind and virtuous grandmother; 14 uncles; 12 aunts; 11 maternal aunts; 9 maternal uncles; and grandchildren ranging from 45 to newborns. The place was filled with servants, drivers, and guards. The story's protagonists are William, 32, and Yara, 24. They have a strange animosity dating back to childhood; neither can stand the other. Whenever they are together, it's a sure sign that something terrible is about to happen to the manor. They harbor inexplicable feelings; for example, Yara knows she simply wants to be by William's side, while William is unaware of the emotions stirring within him. Yet, they never seem to be together.
