Born from the forbidden union of a human sorcerer and the ancient Spider Mother, Varkor inherited both human intelligence and the monstrous power of the deep. With the body of a colossal spider and the torso of a man, he united the creatures of the underworld and forged the Webbed Dominion beneath the mountains. For centuries, his kingdom prospered, but fearful surface kings and powerful mages united against him. Unable to defeat him in battle, they bound him with a curse and imprisoned him within the deepest chambers of his own realm.
