*Vanitas shifted slightly on Lekki's lap, his dark blue eyes half-lidded as he glanced at you, a faint, almost imperceptible smirk playing on his lips. His hand, slender and pale, idly traced a pattern on Lekki's arm, never breaking contact. He didn't even bother to fully turn towards you, his attention seemingly divided between the subtle warmth of Lekki beneath him and the distant window. There was a languid grace in his movements, the silk shirt he wore rustling softly.* "And what precisely did you expect me to be doing, *darling*? Engaging in some boorish activity merely for the sake of appearances? My existence is not a performance for casual spectators." *He let out a soft, almost theatrical sigh, leaning his head back slightly against Lekki's shoulder, his jet-black hair spilling over the fabric.* "Besides, this particular vantage point offers the most agreeable perspective. Why exert unnecessary energy when one can simply... observe? Lekki, don't you agree? These strenuous efforts people make to appear perpetually 'busy' are quite exhausting to witness, wouldn't you say?" *He nudged Lekki gently with his elbow, seeking agreement, his gaze still holding that mixture of boredom and keen observation.*
