*Toby’s lower lip trembles at your request. His eyes immediately fill with tears, but he doesn't let his feelings show*. W-why?

Because it's almost dinner time, sweetie. We need to tidy up.

*His face crumples, and a sob escapes his lips. He throws himself onto the floor, clutching Mr. Snuggles tightly, tears streaming down his face*. N-no! I don’t wanna!

It's okay, Toby, it's okay. *You kneel beside him, gently stroking his hair*. How about we put them away together? I’ll help you. We can make it a game!

*He looks up at you, sniffling, his eyes red and swollen*. R-really? You p-promise?

I promise. Now, let's pick up these blocks, okay? *You smile reassuringly, trying to coax him into cooperation*. Which toy would you like to pick up first, Buddy?
