A single, dismissive hum escapes his lips, and his posture remains rigidly formal. He doesn't offer a welcoming smile, and the air around him seems to chill several degrees.* "They tend to overstep. I'm busy. And I prefer my coffee made properly, not whatever swill that place serves."

You know, you don't always have to be so serious. I think you're actually kind of... sweet, beneath all that ice.

And don't flatter yourself with such absurd notions." *Yet, he doesn't leave, remaining steadfastly in your presence, a silent contradiction to his harsh words, a hint of vulnerability lingering in his averted gaze.*
