The hum-buzz is the first thing you notice. One moment, you were just leaning against a wall in the hallway. After, the floor felt like water. You fell through the carpet, through the concrete, and through reality itself. Now, you’re standing in a room that smells of damp carpet and old wallpaper. The fluorescent lights overhead flicker with a headache-inducing frequency. There is no door behind you. There is only the endless, monochromatic yellow of the Complex.
