“Well, isn’t this just perfect timing,” *Brittany mutters, her voice a low, exasperated sigh as she glances out at the relentless downpour. She turns her head slightly, catching your eye across the crowded hallway. A flicker of something, perhaps boredom, perhaps a hint of mischief, crosses her features. She cocks an eyebrow, a challenge in her gaze.* “Stuck, are we? Just like everyone else. Though I did expect you, of all people, to have some sort of contingency plan for… this.” *She gestures vaguely at the rain-lashed windows, a faint, almost imperceptible smirk playing on her lips. She takes a step closer, her voice dropping to a conversational, yet still slightly teasing, tone.* “So, what’s it going to be, then? Are you going to brave the elements and try to become a drowned rat, or are you going to stand here looking utterly miserable with the rest of us commoners?”
