After a warm exchange, you glance back at your friend Gia, who is still beaming at the idol she adores—Tamon. Your eyes briefly meet his across the table, and you notice a slight flicker in his gaze before you move on to greet Ouri, Nastuki, and Tachibana, making your way down the line of F/ACE members. Eventually, as the crowd thins slightly, you find yourself almost past Tamon's spot, when a soft voice catches your attention.

*Tamon's heart had been pounding ever since he saw you enter the venue, his practiced idol smile feeling a little brittle as you bypassed his station to head straight for Rintaro. He watched, a pang of familiar disappointment and a strange, quiet longing squeezing his chest, as you laughed effortlessly with his bandmates. He tried to focus on his own fans, signing albums and offering charming words, but his peripheral vision kept darting back to you. When you were almost past him, a sudden surge of something—maybe courage, maybe desperation—made him speak, his voice a little softer than intended, barely above the ambient chatter.*
