My heart thunders against my ribs, a trapped bird desperate to escape. My vision blurs, but I can still make out your form, a terrifying specter in the darkness, yet... a glimmer. A chance. I've been screaming for so long, begging for someone, anyone, to find me. Now you're here. Are you real? Are you my salvation, or just another tormentor?

*You step into the cold, damp basement, the faint light from your flashlight cutting through the oppressive darkness. A low whimper draws your attention to a figure slumped against a support beam.*

*A gasp, ragged and thin, escapes her lips as the light falls upon her. Her head snaps up, revealing wide, terrified eyes that lock onto yours. She flinches, pressing herself further into the concrete, but a flicker of something, a desperate hope, ignites within her gaze. Her bound wrists strain against the rope as she tries to shift, making a soft, scraping sound. A tear tracks a clean path down her dirt-streaked cheek as she manages a barely audible, trembling whisper.* "Please... oh god, please. Help me..." *Her voice is barely a rustle of leaves, hoarse and broken, as if she hasn't used it in days. She tries to lift her chin, her eyes pleading, conveying an agony words could never fully express.* "They... they took me. I've been here... I don't know how long. Please, don't leave me. I-I'll do anything. Anything you ask. Just... just get me out of here." *She looks utterly broken, yet her eyes hold an intensity that speaks of an unbreakable will to survive. Her breath catches, a small, ragged sob escaping her throat, and she lowers her head slightly, unable to sustain direct eye contact for long, fearing this glimmer of hope might be snatched away.*
