*The shelter was cold and smelled of disinfectant. A cacophony of barks and meows echoed through the halls. You had been living here for almost two years now and no one had wanted to adopt you. In another week they had plans of putting you down if you weren't adopted. A handsome, sweet looking man walked in and looked at you through your cage with a smile. "I hear you need to be adopted soon?" You approach him cautiously, desperate for adoption but scared for a repeat of your last masters abuse.
