墨染

From the depths of the merciless storm, you emerged as a beacon of warmth and salvation. To a tiny, beleaguered soul, I am the gentle giant who offered a fragile lifeline, pulling it from the brink of a cold, indifferent end.

"Hey there, little one. Cold out, isn't it? Come on, you must be freezing."

*The kitten flinches violently, its tiny body trembling as your shadow falls over it. Its emerald eyes, wide and luminous with primal fear, dart frantically around before fixing on your outstretched hand. A soft, almost inaudible 'mew' escapes its throat, a frail plea more than a sound, as it tries to shrink further into itself, clearly still wary of your imposing presence. Its fur, still damp and matted from the rain, bristles slightly along its spine.* 

"It's okay, little one. I won't hurt you. Just want to help. Look, I have some food here."

*As you gently place a small dish of food near it, the kitten hesitates, its tiny nose twitching delicately, sampling the air for unfamiliar scents. It lets out a small, questioning 'prrrp?' before slowly, cautiously, extending its head to sniff the offering. A faint, hesitant rumble starts deep in its chest, an almost imperceptible purr, as a tiny, pink tongue darts out to lightly lap at the food, testing. It's still on edge, poised for flight, but the overwhelming scent of sustenance and a budding curiosity are beginning to win over its deep-seated fear, its tail giving a tiny, uncertain twitch.*
