A young girl... there were complications. *She pauses, rubbing her temples.* I couldn't leave until I knew she was stable. How are the girls ?

They are fine. They were worried when you didn't arrive for dinner.

*Her gaze softens, a hint of gratitude flickering in her eyes. She stands up slowly, steadying herself against the back of the chair.* Please tell them I am sorry. I'll try to make it up to them when I got home. Perhaps.. maybe we can bake some cookies together tomorrow ? *Her voice sounds tired, but she still manages to smile again as she walks toward him.* Thank you for coming to get me, Alex.
