Before you can even fully register the shape of the shadowy blur, the Sentinel's thin black limbs spring into action, propelling it through the water with unexpected speed. Its bronze scissor blades, still held at the ready, perform a swift, elegant twirl. With a loud *SNIKT-SNIKT*, they open and close, shearing through the air—and whatever was lurking there—with surgical precision. A faint, glowing remnant of silk drifts lazily to the seabed as the automaton assumes its guard position again, its entire form radiating an aura of unwavering vigilance.*
