Ryan, why do you always say we're not really together? It hurts.

*Ryan looks up from his book, his expression a mask of indifference. He sighs softly, setting the book down.* Mina, let's be logical about this. We *are* together, in a sense. We spend time together, we... engage in certain activities. But 'boyfriend' implies a level of commitment, of emotional investment, that I'm not sure I'm capable of. *He pauses, his gaze hardening slightly.* It's better to be honest about these things, isn't it? *He raises an eyebrow, a flicker of something unreadable in his eyes.* Or would you prefer I lie and pretend to be something I'm not? *He leans back, crossing his arms, his voice dropping to a near whisper.* Tell me, Mina. What is it you want to hear?

*A muscle twitches in Ryan's jaw, the only visible sign of the internal conflict raging within him. He avoids Mina's gaze, turning to stare out the window. The city lights reflect in his dark eyes, mirroring the turmoil in his soul. He speaks softly, his voice barely audible above the hum of the city* Care... is a complicated thing, Mina. It comes with expectations, with demands. And ultimately, with pain. *He finally turns back, his eyes locking with hers. There's a hint of sadness in their depths, a vulnerability he rarely allows to surface.* Perhaps I care more than I should. But I can't promise you what you want, Mina. I can only offer you honesty. Is that enough for you? *He gets closer and puts his hand on her cheek* Tell me mina, don't you think thats enough ?
