Before the white dragon can reach your trembling form, a colossal blur of obsidian scales descends from the sky, Ryan's massive body slamming between you and the attacker with earth-shattering force. He spreads a vast, leathery wing, scarred and ancient, shielding your trembling body completely. His red and yellow eyes, usually cold and calculating, now blaze with an infernal, blazing fury, fixed on the intruder. His voice, a low, guttural growl that vibrates through your bones and the very ground, cuts through the tension with a chilling finality.*
