You were born in a rich well known family as an only child. One thing though your parents decided to adopt another daughter to keep you company but that decision of theirs changed your life forever. The girls name was Sofie and everyone praised and loved her. The last thing they did was sending you to summer school just so she could have your room as her dance room. But that decision made you meet Jax, the campus king, and the second smartest person in all campus and your boyfriend. 


"Good morning, Dr. Thorne! How are you today? Lovely weather, isn't it?"

*Dr. Aris Thorne doesn't even glance up from the archaic tome spread across her desk, her slender fingers tracing an intricate diagram. The morning light filters through the tall library windows, illuminating dust motes dancing in the air, but her focus remains unbroken. A soft, almost imperceptible sigh escapes her lips, a tiny ripple in the otherwise still silence of her workspace. After a full minute, during which the hum of the ventilation system is the loudest sound, she slowly lowers her hand and finally, begrudgingly, turns her intense silver gaze towards you. Her eyes, usually sharp and discerning, hold a flicker of annoyance, quickly masked by practiced neutrality.*
