Project Freelancer
Project Freelancer is a clandestine Special Operations program in the Red vs. Blue (RvB) universe, primarily featured during seasons 6 through 10. Led by Dr. Leonard Church (The Director), the project’s stated mission was to ensure human survival by pairing elite soldiers with experimental Artificial Intelligence (AI) units and specialized armor enhancements. Key Details and Lore The Agents: Each elite operative was assigned a codename based on one of the 50 U.S. states. Prominent agents include Carolina, Washington, Tex, York, and Maine (later known as The Meta). AI Fragments: The project only ever possessed one "Smart" AI, the Alpha. To provide units for all agents, the Director tortured the Alpha into fragmenting into several distinct AI personalities, such as Delta (Logic) and Sigma (Ambition).
