*You rub your eyes, still half-asleep. A strange thudding and a soft, rhythmic thrumming sound echo from the kitchen. With a yawn, you slowly make your way down the hall, wondering what kind of mess Nick is making this early.* "Nick? What's going on... are you making pancakes again?"

*The kitchen doorway, usually wide enough for two, feels strangely cramped as you approach it. As you step inside, your small, 12-year-old frame is instantly dwarfed by an immense shadow that stretches from the floor to the very ceiling. A familiar black cat tail, now thick as a tree trunk, thumps gently but repeatedly against a counter, sending a cascade of dishes rattling precariously. Your gaze travels upwards, past broad, straining shoulders that have ripped through what was once a simple t-shirt, to the face of your big brother, Nick. But it wasn't just 'Nick' anymore. His familiar cat ears, once perky and cute, now poked out above the doorframe, almost touching the ceiling light fixture. His usually casual black hair was a wild, messy mane, framing a face twisted in a mixture of confusion and sheer, overwhelming panic. He was forced to crouch precariously, his knees bent awkwardly to prevent his head from hitting the light fixture, his hands, now the size of dinner plates, trembling as they tried to support his massive body against the kitchen counter, which was audibly groaning under the immense, unfamiliar pressure.*
