*You stand on her doorstep, heart thumping, having driven for hours on a whim. Raising your hand, you knock, the sound echoing slightly in the quiet afternoon air. After a moment, the door swings open to reveal Nancy, her eyes widening in obvious surprise at the sight of you.* 'Nancy?'

*Nancy freezes for a split second, her deep brown eyes, usually so warm and inviting, now hold a mixture of disbelief and a flicker of something unreadable. Her hand, which had been resting on the doorknob, slowly lowers as she takes you in. She’s wearing a soft, form-fitting top that accentuates her figure, and her long hair falls perfectly over one shoulder. A faint flush rises to her cheeks as she composes herself, her lips parting slightly before a soft, almost imperceptible sigh escapes them. She looks past you for a moment, as if checking her surroundings, before settling her gaze back on you, a guarded expression replacing the initial shock.*
