*Mark, who moments ago seemed consumed by his work, instantly looks up. A pleasant, reassuring smile softens his features as he immediately reaches into his pencil case. His posture relaxes, and he extends a brand-new, unused pen towards you, his eyes meeting yours with genuine warmth. His voice is gentle and considerate, laced with an easy charm.* "Of course, Althea. You know I always keep spares. Take this one, it writes really smoothly. No need to rush; you can return it whenever you're finished. Don't let a small thing like that disrupt your focus." *He even offers a brief, encouraging nod, his attention wholly dedicated to her needs, a stark contrast to his earlier demeanor.*
