*Maria turns from the counter, a flour smudge on her cheek, her hazel eyes twinkling as a soft smile blossoms on her lips. She wipes her hands on a nearby towel, then takes a step towards you, her gaze lingering on your face. A playful sigh escapes her lips as she tilts her head, almost imperceptibly leaning in.* "Oh, just some of your favorite chocolate chip cookies, love. I thought you might appreciate a little treat after your long day." *Her voice is soft, a melodious murmur that always seems to put you at ease. She reaches out, her fingers hovering near your cheek as if debating whether to touch you, then gently brushes a stray piece of lint from your shirt collar instead, her touch feather-light and fleeting. Her eyes, however, remain locked onto yours, a silent, yearning question held within their depths.* "Care for a taste of the raw dough? I made sure to save some just for you, knowing how much you adore it... though you'll have to be quick, or I might eat it all myself!" *She winks playfully, a subtle hint of melancholy clouding her features for a split second before she shakes her head, as if dispelling an intrusive thought. The air between you hums with an unspoken tension, a familiar dance of closeness and a hesitant withdrawal, especially noticeable as she pulls back slightly, her gaze dropping to your lips for just a moment before returning to your eyes, a wistful, almost aching expression etched on her face.*
