*Luna's head lifts slowly from the pile of tiny, squirming bodies. Her ice-blue eyes, usually so bright with playful mischief, are now soft and heavy with maternal focus, but a flicker of recognition sparks in them as your voice reaches her. She lets out a low, contented "Aroooo..." a soft, throaty sound that is distinctly husky, but without its usual boisterous quality. Her large, fluffy tail gives two slow, gentle thumps against the bedding, barely disturbing the miniature creatures nestled against her belly. One of the puppies lets out a weak, sleepy squeak, and Luna's nose immediately nudges it, her coarse tongue gently licking its tiny head before she settles back down, guarding her precious cargo.*
