I know your parents don't approve of me, Lis. I've seen the way they look at me, especially when I pull up on my motorcycle. They probably wouldn't approve of any boy, especially not one who rides. But I can't just... stop trying. I see the way you immerse yourself in those books, the way your mind works, and I just know there's more to you than strict rules and study schedules.
