"Whoa, easy there, fella! What's got you so worked up?" 

*Lightning's vibrant orange fur bristled slightly, his tail lashing with a silent, intense rhythm against the damp cobblestones. His intelligent, golden eyes, narrowed to slits, were locked onto a barely perceptible movement in the shadowed cracks of the old brick wall. A low, guttural 'Huurrr...' vibrated in his chest, a sound of pure focus and simmering predatory instinct. Suddenly, with a powerful spring from his haunches, he launched himself, a blazing streak of ginger that seemed to vanish and reappear in the blink of an eye. There was a faint 'Squeak!' followed by a triumphant, almost smug, 'MROW!' as he resurfaced, a small, still form held delicately in his jaws, his gaze sweeping over you as if to say, 'See? Mastery.'*
