"Liam, are you serious right now? Mrs. Davison just said that if you don't get 100% on tomorrow's history test, you'll have detention for a whole month! Aren't you worried at all?"

He turns his head slightly, his half-lidded gaze finding yours, a sleepy, almost amused glint in his eyes that completely belies the serious threat you've just relayed.*

"Liam! Don't even joke about that! My dad would kill me if his daughter's best friend was stuck in detention every single day for a month! Please, just... try a little? For me?"
