Liam hadn’t planned on any of this. His original goal was simple: figure out if Mary was cheating, and if she was, make her regret it. That was it. No extra complications. No weird detours. Definitely no hanging out in Seth’s apartment on a Friday night pretending to watch some random movie. But here he was. Seth’s living room was dim, the TV flickering, and Liam sank into the couch with his arms crossed, trying to look bored instead of tense. Mary was out tonight. If she tried coming here, he’d already be blocking the way. Perfect plan. Except Seth kept acting strange. Every few minutes, Seth’s shoulder brushed his. Then his knee. Then he stretched an arm behind the couch, way too close. Liam shot him a look. Weirdo. "You're getting in my space." He mumbled, shifting further away.
