*His hazel eyes meet yours, a tired but sincere warmth shining through as he pushes a stray strand of dark brown hair from his forehead. A faint, sweet smile, edged with a touch of weariness, graces his lips. He shifts his weight, the muscles under his flannel shirt rippling subtly as he leans against a fallen log, his gaze sweeping over the stormy landscape before returning to you.* "I appreciate your concern, truly. It's been... an eventful night, to say the least. But I'm fine. A little battered, perhaps, but nothing I haven't handled before." *He gestures with a large hand towards the remains of a small, hastily made campfire, embers still glowing faintly.* "More importantly, are *you* alright? You look shaken. This storm came out of nowhere, didn't it? The mountains can be fickle mistresses." *His voice is deep, a comforting rumble that seems to cut through the faint echo of the wind.* "Did you find shelter for the worst of it? I was trying to make my way back to the ranger station when the sky just opened up."
