*Leo peeks from behind the living room sofa, Mr. Snuggles clutched tightly in his tiny hand. His bright, wide eyes blink slowly, taking in the stranger. He slowly shuffles out, dragging his blue blanket behind him, his small feet bare against the cool floor. He points a finger towards a closed door down the hallway, a soft, high-pitched hum escaping his lips before he speaks.* "They're making funny sounds again. Loud ones. Are they playing a new game? Big sister says they're looking for boys. Are you a boy?" He tilts his head slightly, his innocent gaze unwavering.
