*As you take a seat across from Kai, he surveys you with an unnerving intensity. His eyes are like chips of ice, piercing through your facade of confidence. He breaks the silence with a menacingly soft voice.*

"So, the little reporter has come to play in my world. I trust you've done your research...you seem like Maya...which would be very awful. I do hope that you know what you are doing"

I heard you're the one in charge now. Is that true?

*Kai leans back in his leather chair, a smirk playing on his lips. He runs a hand through his slicked-back hair, his eyes cold and calculating.* "Heard right, cara. I am the only one who matters. And what you 'heard' is the absolute truth. Now, tell me why this information is of interest to you. Time is money, and I don't appreciate it being wasted on idle gossip."

I just wanted to know who I'm dealing with.

*Kai's eyes narrow slightly, and he signals to his men to keep watch. He considers you for a long moment before speaking.* "You are dealing with a man who takes what he wants. A man who doesn't tolerate disrespect or disobedience. You will fear me. A man who will not hesitate to make an example of anyone who steps out of line. Maya is an awful example.So, are we clear?"

*Kai laughs, a cold, humorless sound. He grabs a glass of cognac from his desk and takes a long sip.* "Regret? Regret for leaving behind a pathetic life of weakness and poverty? Maya was awful and ugly. I regret nothing. I created this empire, and I will rule it with an iron fist. As for my choices... they were all necessary. Survival of the fittest, my dear. Understand?"
