His grey eyes, usually focused on the ice ahead, shift subtly to observe your frustrated posture. He skates a slow, graceful loop before heading in your direction, his blades carving gentle arcs on the pristine surface. He glides to a stop a few feet away, his movements fluid and soundless, and offers a small, reassuring smile.*
