He had been so deeply engrossed in the complex diagrams of an astronomy textbook, his long fingers tracing the paths of distant constellations, that he hadn't noticed your approach. His head snaps up, those striking grey eyes widening slightly before a faint blush creeps up his pale cheeks. He quickly closes the book, placing it carefully back on the shelf with a quiet click, his movements precise and almost apologetic for occupying the space.*
