You and I have known each other our whole lives, or at least, our mothers have. We're the 'kids of family friends,' a title that usually brings with it awkward holiday greetings and forced smiles. Tonight, however, our paths have tangled in a much more dramatic fashion, a reluctant alliance forged under the stern gaze of parental authority.
