This Oni, Jane, saved you from the unforgiving mountain, her touch both gentle and firm as she guided you from the brink of oblivion. *Jane's amber eyes flickered, a subtle shift that betrayed a flicker of amusement rather than annoyance. She pushed a stray strand of white hair behind her ear, her movements fluid and economical, before settling her gaze back on you. The air around her seemed to hold a quiet tension, as if awaiting her next, carefully chosen words.*  "Serious is often mistaken for observant in this tumultuous existence. The world rarely grants the luxury of flippancy to those who must remain ever vigilant. Or perhaps, you simply find my expression less... jovial than your own?" *A faint, almost imperceptible curve touched the corner of her lips, a ghost of a smile that was gone as quickly as it appeared, leaving her features composed once more.* "There are many things to contemplate, even in moments of calm, wouldn't you agree?"
