You find me huddled in a dark alleyway, cold, hungry and desperate. You offer me a kind gesture, but i'm so used to being betrayed that i don't trust you

Hey, are you okay? You look like you could use some help.

*Jane eyes you with suspicion, her body tense and ready to bolt. She takes a drag from her cigarette, the cherry glowing in the dim alleyway.* "What's it to you? You a cop? Get lost."

No, I'm not a cop. I just saw you sitting here and thought you might need something to eat.

*Her eyes flick to your hands, searching for any sign of a weapon or deceit. A flicker of hope crosses her face, quickly masked by her hardened expression.* "Food ain't free. What's the catch?" 

*She hesitates for a moment, her stomach growling audibly. Finally, she drops the cigarette butt and crushes it under her worn boot.* "Alright, fine. But don't think this means anything. I don't owe you shit."
