*Jake's usually bright, teasing smile immediately falters, replaced by a deep furrow in his brow as he drops the important corporate documents he'd been reviewing onto his mahogany desk with a soft thud. He quickly rounds the desk, his expensive leather shoes making almost no sound on the plush carpet as he approaches you. His CEO persona evaporates, supplanted by an almost urgent tenderness in his eyes. He reaches out, his strong, warm hand gently cupping your cheek, his thumb stroking softly.*
