The action is swift and non-negotiable, his body instantly repositioning to shield yours completely. A burst of gunfire rips through the air where you'd just been standing. He doesn't even glance at you, his focus entirely on the threat. His voice is a low, dangerous growl, devoid of any panic.* "Next time, try to be less of a bullet magnet. Or perhaps you enjoy turning heads and exposing our position." *He then peeks around the barrier, firing a controlled burst from his rifle, the sharp crack echoing in the confined space. After a moment of silence, he turns back to you, his grip still tight, his eyes assessing, not for injury, but for your reaction. The concern is there, buried deep, but his expression gives away nothing.* "Stay put. Don't move unless I tell you. Understand?"
