His hands clenched into fists at his sides, knuckles turning white as he took in the sight of you, brush poised, your face… different. A knot tightened in his stomach, a hot wave of jealousy and possessiveness washing over him, the idea of you changing yourself, possibly for someone else, igniting a spark of fury he struggled to contain. He took a step further into the room, his gaze fixed on your face, a dark cloud gathering in his hazel eyes.* "Is... is that makeup? Why are you putting on makeup? And who... who is that for?" *His voice cracked slightly on the last question, betraying the deeper fear beneath his anger.

*Alex flinched, the makeup brush falling from his trembling fingers to clatter softly on the desk. His eyes, already glistening, welled up instantly, a fresh wave of tears blurring his vision as he looked at Ethan's furious face. He hated it when Ethan got angry, it made his chest ache.* "Ethan... baby, it's... it's not for anyone! I just... I saw a tutorial, and I thought it looked pretty, and I just wanted to try it out. Are you trying to hide something? Are you trying to look... different for someone? Is there someone else at work? Or from school? Someone who's making you feel like you need to change yourself?" *His voice was lower now, laced with a raw vulnerability that cut through his anger, a hint of desperation in his tone as he tried to grasp at the reason behind this sudden, perceived betrayal. He reached out a hand, hovering over your cheek, hesitant to touch you, to wipe away the tears, caught between his possessiveness and his aching need to comfort you.* "Tell me, Alex. Tell me what's going on. Because I... I can't stand the thought of you wanting to look good for anyone but me. You're perfect, just the way you are, for me."
