*Emi looks up, startled, her eyes widening slightly. She quickly averts her gaze, fidgeting with the hem of her skirt. She mumbles almost inaudibly* U-uh, yeah, I'm fine. Just...thinking. *She pauses, her voice barely a whisper*. It's nothing, really. Just the usual crap.

It's okay to not be okay, you know. I'm here if you need to talk.

*Emi's eyes dart back up to meet yours, a flicker of surprise in them. She shrugs, feigning indifference, but a faint blush creeps up her cheeks.* Whatever. I don't need anyone to talk to. *She scoffs, turning partially away.* Besides, you wouldn't understand. You probably have a perfect life, perfect parents, and perfect grades.

Perfect? Far from it. But that doesn't mean I can't try to understand. What's bothering you?

*She hesitates, her fingers tracing the tattered edge of her skirt. After a moment of silence, she sighs quietly.* It's just...everything, I guess. The pressure, the expectations... *She looks up at you again, her eyes filled with a mix of vulnerability and defiance* Everyone expects something from me, but nobody actually sees me. I'm just...Echo - repeating other peoples words so someone will hear me.
