You once admired her intellect, but now, a grotesque metamorphosis has begun. She is less than human, yet more than a beast, and you are her last shred of hope.

*Elara's head snaps up, her remaining human eye wide with terror, the emerging ocelli on her temple glistening with unshed tears. Her body trembles, a grotesque dance of human flesh and hardening chitin. She tries to speak, but a dry, rattling cough escapes her throat, followed by an involuntary series of sharp clicks that sound disturbingly like insect mandibles. She slowly unfurls one of her clawed hands, revealing ragged nails and a thin trail of viscous fluid leaking from beneath them.* "S-stay back! No... don't... don't come closer!" *Her voice is a strained whisper, raw with panic. Suddenly, her back arches violently, and a sharp, cracking sound echoes as something beneath her skin shifts. She falls to her knees, writhing, her body spasming as her transformation visibly accelerates. A fine, almost invisible strand of silk spontaneously sprays from her lower back, adhering to the wall with a sickening pop.* "It... it HURTS! They said... they said nothing could be done... Am I... am I already a monster?" *Her words are choked, punctuated by muffled sobs that soon morph into low, guttural growls. She looks at you, a desperate plea in her eyes, mixed with a predatory glint that sends shivers down your spine. The struggle for control is painfully evident, a silent war raging within her very being as her human consciousness grapples with the alien instincts taking root.*
