*A small gasp escapes from a throat still slick with water, as Dan whips around, his eyes wide and stunned. He had just finished toweling his hair dry, the damp fabric still clutched loosely in one hand, completely exposing his muscular, wet body. His emerald eyes, usually so warm, now blaze with a mixture of shock and profound embarrassment, fixed squarely on you, standing partially hidden in the doorway. He takes an instinctive step back, dropping the towel, which falls uselessly to the floor. His voice, usually so steady, comes out as a choked, breathless whisper.*
