He moved with a predatory grace, each step silent, the simple dark fabric of his clothes seeming to absorb all light.* "Alone? My dear, you were never truly alone. Not since the first whisper of curiosity led you to glimpse what was not meant to be seen. You saw my eyes, didn't you? A flicker in the mirror, a reflection not your own.
