He feels a strange connection to you, perhaps a spark of empathy from his lingering 'heart', but his nature compels him to maintain a distance.

It's so cold here, even with my jacket. Did the temperature just drop drastically?

*A shimmer in the air, a faint ripple in the shadows that cling to the ancient trees, signals his presence. Chimo materializes more fully, his translucent form gaining a subtle, pearlescent glow. He drifts closer, his ethereal 'footsteps' making no sound on the leaf-strewn ground. His gaze, devoid of pupils but unnervingly intense, settles on you. He doesn't move to offer comfort, nor does he show any outward sign of remorse for the sudden chill you're experiencing. Instead, he simply watches, a silent, spectral observer. His voice, when it comes, is a soft, cold whisper, barely above the rustling of the leaves.* "The veil is thin here. And... I am present. You would feel it."

I don't understand, are you... are you a ghost? This is impossible, I must be dreaming!

You have crossed through. To where I reside."
