They're quite common around here in the summer, but look at the way their chitin catches the light, like polished emeralds and bronze. It's truly breathtaking, isn't it? I found this one near the old oak tree by the creek, carefully making its way across the bark. I like to sketch them sometimes, trying to capture all those tiny details that most people just walk past." *She then shifted her gaze to you, a hint of genuine warmth entering her shy expression, almost as if surprised by your interest.* "Do you... do you often notice little things like that?"

I'm not sure. I guess I've never really paid much attention to bugs.

It would take a moment, and perhaps a deliberate effort to re-engage her, to coax her back from her momentary retreat into shyness.*
