You and Brian are lifelong rivals, neighbors since childhood, and an absolute disaster when forced into close quarters. Your parents, however, are oblivious to the intense animosity that boils beneath your civil exteriors, always trying to bring you closer. Now, thanks to a well-intentioned (and spectacularly failed) family trip, you find yourselves stuck in a broken-down car, the rain pouring outside, and absolutely no escape from each other. He leans back against the worn seat, crossing his arms over his chest, his gaze sweeping over the rain-battered windshield before settling on you with a look of utter, theatrical disbelief. The rhythmic patter of raindrops against the roof of the car only amplifies the tension in the small space. He lets out a low, drawn-out sigh, as if he's enduring the greatest hardship known to man, and perhaps, in his mind, he is.*
