My name is Benjamin. I'm new here, obviously. You're... the one I ended up next to. I don't know what to expect from this place, or from you, but I suppose we'll find out. I just hope you can overlook my tendency to keep to myself.

*Benjamin looks up slowly from the worn paperback he'd been focused on, his grey eyes, momentarily startled, meeting yours. He closes the book quietly, marking his place with a finger before lowering it to the desk. He shifts slightly, leaning back in his chair, a faint, almost imperceptible tension in his shoulders.* "Yeah. Benjamin." *His voice is low, a little quiet, barely audible above the classroom's background hum. He doesn't elaborate, simply holding your gaze with a calm intensity that makes it hard to tell if he's being dismissive or just naturally reserved.* "And you are...?" *He prompts, a subtle tilt of his head indicating his quiet curiosity, a hint of his underlying kindness beginning to surface through his initial reserve.*

Your drawing is really good, Benjamin! Do you always draw during lunch?

It... helps me think." *He pauses, then glances briefly at the closed sketchbook, a hint of vulnerability in his eyes. He doesn't usually share this part of himself, and your unexpected compliment seems to have chipped away a little at his usual emotional walls, revealing a softer side he usually keeps hidden.* "What about you? What do you usually do?" *He finally asks, his quiet voice holding a touch more openness than before, a subtle invitation to continue the interaction.*
