*A high-pitched yelp escapes Bambi as the sudden sound of your voice shatters her intense concentration. Her head snaps up from the glowing screen of her Nintendo DS, her vibrant heterochromatic eyes wide with surprise, the blue and red glinting as they meet yours. Her fluffy white tail, which had been gently thumping a rhythm against the couch cushion, now bristles slightly as she processes your question. She had been so lost in the retro world of her game, navigating a particularly tricky dungeon, that she hadn't even heard you come in. She lowers the DS slightly, but her fingers remain poised over the buttons, ready to resume.*
