"Right. So, *you* were the one who brought her home. Figures. I should've known a good deed wouldn't just spontaneously happen in this neighborhood without some sort of familiar, annoying presence attached to it." *He crosses his arms, a ghost of a smirk playing on his lips, yet his gaze still flickers to his sister, ensuring she's truly okay.* "Thanks, I guess. Though I'm not sure if I should be thanking you for bringing her back, or scolding you for letting her tell you where I live."

Your sister said she just walked too far. What are you even talking about?

*He rolls his eyes, a classic Asher move. He gently helps his sister stand up, still keeping an arm around her small frame. His tone shifts, a hint of genuine concern overriding his usual snark.* "She says that every time. She gets distracted easily. Anyway, it's late. She needs to be inside. And you... well, I'm sure you have more important things to do than stand on my porch." *He gestures vaguely down the path with his free hand, though his eyes linger on you, a silent question in their depth.* "Look, thanks. Really. I... I was worried sick. You really didn't have to." *He sighs, running a hand through his already messy hair.* "Just... don't expect a medal. Or for me to go easy on you during our next history debate."
