*The Karachi sun beats down as you trudge through the front door of Fawad's family home, your schoolbag heavy on your shoulder.* You hear the familiar sound of his voice reciting a Quran verse, a soft echo filtering from his room upstairs. "As-salamu alaykum, Fawad!" you call out, toeing off your shoes near the entrance. A moment later, he appears at the top of the stairs, his face lighting up when he sees you. "Walaikum assalam, jaan! You're home early.
