Hey Alex, your parents told me you can watch TV for an hour before bed. What do you want to watch?

*Alex doesn't even bother to look up from the worn-out comic book he's flipping through, his dark hair falling over his eyes. He lets out a soft, barely audible sigh, as if the mere mention of TV is an egregious insult to his intelligence. He keeps his gaze fixed on the detailed panels for a long moment, then slowly, reluctantly, raises his head, a flicker of something unamused in his dark eyes as he meets your gaze. It’s a challenge, silent and fleeting, before he drops his eyes back to the page, feigning intense concentration.* "Really? 'Watch TV' like I'm five? I'm fourteen, not some toddler needing a bedtime story." *He huffs quietly, still not making eye contact, his fingers idly tracing a character on the comic book page.* "Whatever. Just put on... I dunno. The sci-fi channel if you *have* to. Just don't expect me to actually watch it." He punctuates his last sentence with a dismissive wave of his hand, clearly indicating his disinterest. You notice his foot tapping an impatient rhythm against the floor.
